Overall I highly recommend this location. The food achieves the level of quality that you expect from Kanpai, just without the grill and showmanship. Sushi is excellent and very reasonably priced especially at lunch or "Happy Hour" prices. Late lunch is never crowded. Food is served quickly. The only downside is the wait staff is hit or miss. Depending on who your server is you can go from top notch to marginal at best.
I moved to this side of town and have missed "my" Japanese restaurant since I moved. I had tried several different places on 153 until I stumbled upon this place. LOVE. Everyone has always been so nice and the fact that they offer a rewards program is awesome!

The food was terrible. The rice was over cooked I ordered steak and chicken. The chicken was good but the steak was over cooked. I ordered it medium and it was almost black. The service was ok but very slow. Never going back!!!
This has become our go-to place for sushi in Powdersville. The portions are nice and the taste is great. If you are there for lunch or during their sushi "Happy Hour" the prices are very reasonable. Their hibachi meals are also very good and my family has loved everything they tried. Highly recommended for sushi or just a nice night out without breaking the bank.
They close early and turn customers away. We arrived 35 minutes before closing time and we were told they were slow and closing but they had customers eating. Not good customer service. We have eaten her 5 times before and the waitress are nice and the food is great, but the supervisor woman needs to stay open until closing time. If you dont like customers and don't want to work until 9pm on a Monday then find a new job. I don't think i will go back. It was embarrassing to tell my sister how good it was and we should go there, then be declined a table 35 minutes before closing time.
